The room adjacent to the reception room was the governor's private
office. Abraham Lincoln apparently used this space as well while receiving visitors
in 1860.
The room's most notable accessory is a famous bust of Lincoln. Sculptor Thomas
D. Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio modeled it from life at the St. Nicolas Hotel shortly
before Lincoln left Springfield for the White House.
