Shown here in Representatives Hall is the original desk which Abraham Lincoln is believed to have used during his last term as a state representative. Lincoln made several well-known speeches in Representatives Hall, including a eulogy to Henry Clay in 1852, a reply to Stephen Douglas in 1854, and the "House Divided" speech in 1858.
